This inmate was brought to Karunamaya by his family. He was a chain smoker and an alcoholic. He has been provided appropriate treatment and rehabilitation at Karunamaya and is now addiction free.
Mr. Ambady recently passed away after living a peaceful days at Karunamaya.
Age 75 yrs.
This inmate was picked up by the Karunamaya team from his house in Marlapadavu. He was in a pitiable condition being an alcoholic. He was treated at Yenepoya Hospital in Derlakatte. He was also provided rehabilitation. He improved and was alcohol free after that. After living several happy months at Karunamaya, he recently passed away. May his soul rest in peace.
Age 58 yrs.
This inmate was picked up by the Karunamaya team from Nandigudda. He was an alcoholic. He was given medical treatment at Yenepoya Hospital in Derlakatte and Rehabilitation at Karunamaya.
Age 67 yrs.
This inmate was an alcoholic who was picked up by Karunamaya from Marnamikatte and provided medical treatment and rehabilitation. He is not totally addiction free.
Age 74 yrs.
This inmate was picked up from Merlapadavu. He had loss of vision and low haemoglobin. Karunamaya received him with love and affection and provided him the much needed medical attention and care. A cataract surgery was perfpormed at Yenepoya Hospital in Derlakatte. His vision is restored and his health is better as well.
Age 53 yrs.
This inmate was admitted at Karunamaya for his alcohol addiction and depression. After appropriate medical treatment, rehabilitation and counseling, he is now much better.
Age 70 yrs.
This man was picked up from Jeppu as an alcohol addict. He was treated medically and given appropriate rehabilitation. His condition improved and his family later came and took him home.
Age 58 yrs.
This man was picked up by the Karunamaya Team from Thokottu bus stop. He was suffering from severe depression. He was provided counseling and medical treatment. He became better and then left the Ashram to go back to his family.
Narayana (66 yrs)
This old man was picked up from Bendoorwell for alcoholism addiction. He was provided appropriate medical treatment and rehabilitation. He is totally alcoholism free today.
Navtej Happy Singh (57 yrs)
This man was brought from Belthangady. He was in an extremely disoriented state of mind and had to be shifted to Snehalaya in Pavoor for psychiatric treatment.
Pattabi (65 yrs)
This man was dropped off by his family for treatment for depression. With appropriate counselling services and medical treatment, he is happy today.
Shankar (72 yrs)
This inmate was suffering from alcohol addiction and depression. He was picked up from Kankanady by Karunamaya Team. There were several wounds on his body and with good medical treatment, he has recovered.
Shivappa (65 yrs)
This inmate was brought to Karunamaya while he had fourth stage throat cancer. Medical treatment was provided but sadly he passed away.
Shreedhar (47 yrs)
This man was brought from Niddele in Kulshekar. He had met with an accident. He was an alcoholic and had depression. He was provided medical treatment at Yenepoya Hospital in Deralakatte. He was also provided rehabilitation. He recovered well and has now left Karunamaya.
Staney Sequiera (69 yrs)
This man was dropped off at Karunamaya by his family from Shaktinagar due to his problem of alcohol addiction along with high BP and severe depression. He was provided medical treatment and rehabilitation. He improved and has now left Karunamaya.
Victor Sanctis (42 yrs)
This inmate was from Chickmangalur. He was dropped off at Karunamaya by his family. He had the problem of alcoholism and had met with an accident. He was provided medical treatment and also a rod was placed in his leg to overcome the loss of his bone due to the accident. He is now fine.

78 year old Mr. John Fernandes who was in a pitiable state at Padil Bus stop in Mangalore was rescued by the members of Karunamaya Ashram. His whole leg was burnt and had severe wounds. He has been treated at Karunamaya and is undergoing medical care.
Mr.Vittal Shetty recently passed away after living a peaceful days at Karunamaya.

It is our desire that the family members of the inmates take their loved ones back after rehabilitated so that they can live together with their family. Hence whenever any inmate leaves our Ashram, we post updates below. Also some inmates may pass away due to their old age. May their soul rest in peace.
- Bonaventure: Passed away and is now with the Lord. May his soul rest in peace.
- Laxman Shetty: He is discharged now and is staying with his family.
- Narayana: He is discharged now and has been taken back by his family.
- Shankar Adyanthaya: He has been accepted back by his family.
- Gilbert Ammanna: He has reunited with his family.
- Mr. Cyril Braggs is now free of the addiction to alcohol. He returns to his loving family. May God bless him and his family and may he live a beautiful life with his dear family.
- Mr. Vittal Shetty recently passed away after living his last days peacefully at Karunamaya Ashram.
- Mr. Oswald Furtado passed away after living a life of dignity at Karunamaya Ashram.
- Mr. Vasanth Tushar recently passed away, having been blessed in last days by his stay at Karunamaya Ashram.
